Well after a long and exhausting few weeks, we finally moved into our new Home last wednesday. So many boxes to unpack, and yes the house is big. Need to fill it more with new furniture...
Thanks for your patience, so much we had to organise, currently on dial up internet, waiting for our broadband to be configured.
There is so much to organise prior and post moving. Ie: Foxtel, phone, appliance commisioning, driveway, fencing, porch decking, etc
Here's a few pics......Take note of our floor, looks like timber doesnt it........ The 2nd pic, displays the 1st half of the floor sealed and towards the hallway not sealed. Our new Karndean vinyl planks is awesome, warmer than tiles, and looks and feels like timber, so many people think its timber... The rumpus room, lounge/library & front study are carpeted. All upstairs is carpeted, excluding hte wet areas of course..
More pics to come, once the driveway, light fittings, front porch decking are completed.
Lucky Im on holidays, so much to do. Wil take a while to sort out all the unpacked boxed, its amasing how much you accumulate over the years....
Our friends have been most impressed with the quality & design of our home. It feels like such an accomplishment, like I have given birth to it...:)....All those late nights discussing colours, options, upgrades, checking each day on the progress, taking pics, and watching it progress has been an enjoyable experience, one that everyone should encounter in there life.
To all my cremorne fans, thanks again, for all your feedback. Each of the houses are unique in there own way, and all look great, and soon to be your home, its such a wonderful experience.

Congrats guys! Been following your blog for awhile and the finished product looks awesome! The vinyl is amazing... I would've sworn they were timber. Hope you guys enjoy it! Well done! Cheers!!!!
OMG! Your place looks awesome! Nicely done with the flooring. Did you put it down yourself? Stunning looking house and seeing makes us all the more keen to get into our own place. Great pics - put some more up when you get a chance. Cheers!
Hi Guys, I did have a chuckle when you thanked us for our patience. You may have noticed I didn't wait very patiently - sorry about that ;-)
Your house looks lovely, really really nice. I love the Kardean, I have quite a few samples of it here. I have to say that out of all the Cremornes on display none of them really appealed to me in the way of colours and decor. Nice to see one that looks great. Can't wait to see the rest of your photos.
Congratulations!!!! You must be rapt.
Toni
Congratulations on your new home. Your kitchen looks just beautiful.Hope all the finishing off goes well. Look forward to more pics! ;)
Looks great Guys! You are so lucky to be on holidays while you are organising everything. Very impressed with the look of the floor. We are doing the living room with floorboards as well and were wondering what it would look like.
I'm sure you will both enjoy shopping for the new furniture :-)
Thanks for your feedback guys,
Im now on broadband ADSL internet, :)
WE had our ducted vacuuming and light fittings fitted. They look great. Will take pics tomorrow, and post them up. Hope to get the driveway soon....
The flooring is fantastic, so timber like.
Andy - did you install the flooring yourself? If so, how long did it take? I'm planning on taking a couple of weeks off work to put ours down, along with decking, retaining wall....
Just came across your blog while looking into Karndean vinyl planks. Love your home. Also love the look of your karndean floor, could you please tell me what range and colour it is and also if you applied a gloss or satin seal...it looks very realistic! Much like what we are after.
Thanks
cc
Hi CC
The karndean flooring is awesome, all our visitors love it, some of whom dont even realise its not timber..
Even porter davis are now using it in there new display homes..they were very impressed with our floor.
There are many types, we have the lancewood from the van gofh range, wide planks. I used a gloss seal & polish. The matt didnt look as nice.
Make sure you protect the floor by fitting on protective feet on all your chairs, couches etc.
Check out the karndean showroom.
All the best
Andy
Thanks for your prompt reply Andy. We were also looking at the Van Gogh range with a gloss finish, but were a little concerned that the gloss finish would make look it look a little "fake" due to the textured finish. So you would say that this wouldn't be the case??
Thanks again
cc
We love the gloss finish, the matt finish didnt look good. The gloss is not too glossy. Its easy to apply, and you control the amount of sealer & polish you mop on.
It looks awesome when its freshly sealed & polished. It does fade eventually, depends on the traffic on your flooring. If you eveer damage a section its very easily repaired. You just cut out the damaged plank and glue on the new plank. Its imperative that your concrete slab is smooth and level. If not a self leveling process is needed.
Do you have a blog? Have you just built a new home?
Thanks
Andy
No sorry no blog, we are not building(been there, done that!)we want to replace our carpert in our exsisting home, but am having a hard time coming to a decision. Can't seem to find the right colour/look we are after. Would you be able to tell me if it was a glazer, semi-gloss or gloss that you applied? Have you noticed if it scratches easily since you have had it down? Also what sort of cleaning process co you use? Is it easy to keep clean?
Sorry for all the questions! Hope you don't mind.
Thanks
cc
We had a flooring company install our karndean flooring. The sealant and polish was given to me, so i could apply it myself. Im not sure what type of gloss, it wasnt labelled on the bottles. In regards to scratches, yes it can scratch, but you really have to try hard. The sealer protects it from day to day living. High heel shoes will not dent it, not like floating floors. There are also some very hardy laminate flooring, also with a 25 year warranty.
Karndean flooring is now being used in many shopping centres, green grocery stores, as its mainly used for commercial use. Its this reason we chose this vinyl flooring. Myers at doncastor shopping centre has it, and most people think its real timber. Timber flooring is much higher maintenance, than vinyl. And best of all its not cold like tiles. Its very warming. Go and check out the porter davis display homes in brimbank gardens, derrimut. Both the access and lifestyle range. There are a few homes that have it.
